Welcome to your second April Update for the 2023 EGU General Assembly, to be held 23-28 April 2023, both on-site in Vienna, Austria, and virtually. This will be the last email update before the General Assembly, so let’s jump right in!

So, what do you need to do just before the meeting?

For conveners

  • Regular price registration and single day on-site tickets for EGU23 are available until the end of the conference (28 April 2023), but must be completed online. Registrations will not be purchasable on-site in Vienna, only badge collection. View all the registration fees and options on the EGU23 website and get your registration TODAY.
  • Prepare for your session! Ensure you have delegated at least one on-site and one virtual chairperson, and prepared your tasks during the session. Check the convener guidelines for more information.
  • To access your session, no links will be sent in advance to presenters, for either Zoom or Gather.Town, all links will become available 15 minutes prior to the session on the session page. Alternatively if you are already logged in to Gather.Town, you can navigate to the correct location beforehand.

  • The EGU23 schedule is live! Check the details here and start to build your schedule in your Personal Programme. The EGU23 app is also available, download it here for iOS and here for Android.

  • Collect your EGU23 name badge on Sunday, 23 April 2023, between 12:00 CEST and 18:00 CEST, at the conference centre. This also gives you the most use of your free transport ticket for Monday–Friday, included with your name badge!

  • The Naturhistorisches Museum Wien, the natural history museum in Vienna, is offering a 50% discount to everyone with an EGU23 name badge!

  • Prepare your presentation: use the how to guides and the presenter guidelines to ensure your presentation is ready for EGU23! Make your presentation accessible to all by following these tips, and do not forget to upload your presentation files and supplementary materials at least 24 hours before your session!
