The EGU General Assembly 2023 will take place in the Austria Center Vienna (ACV), which is located next to the station "Kaisermühlen-VIC" of the metro U1 (Wiener Linien) running from the city centre (Stephansplatz) to Leopoldau.
The congress centre is also well reachable via the Airport Bus (station "Wien Kaisermühlen VIC").
Name badge pickup
Conference name badges can be picked up during the following hours in hall X5. To avoid queues on Monday morning, we encourage participants to collect their name badges on Sunday afternoon. The public transportation ticket will be distributed simultaneously, printed on the back-side of the name badge.

Visitors with restricted mobility

Visitors with children
We recognize that childcare at the General Assembly is a valued part of the EGU experience. Thus, EGU provides professional childcare facilities (for ages 1–12) in the congress centre free of charge. A separate area will be available close to the lecture rooms but not in the commotion of the conference (Purple Level -2 – basement). The service will be provided from Monday to Friday, 08:30–12:30 and 14:00–18:00. Moreover, parents' rooms and quiet spaces will be provided.

By train
Vienna occupies a hub position in Europe's international rail network. Intercity and international express trains connect the capital with all parts of Austria and with all major cities in Europe. Please visit the home page of your National Railways for connections and special rates. Train travel can among others be planned at DB, SBB, ÖBB Scotty, and SNCF.
By bus
Vienna is well connected by long-distance bus.
By plane
Vienna International Airport at Schwechat, 19 kilometres from the city centre, is served directly by all major European airlines.
To get downtown to Vienna from the airport, you can choose between bus (Vienna Airport Lines), the suburban train (S-Bahn), the city airport train (CAT), or taxi.

By bicycle
Secure bicycle parking is available next to the Austria Center Vienna (ACV). Bicycles can be rented through CityBike Vienna and Donkey Bike. Near the ACV, you can also rent a bicycle at Copa Cagrana Rad und Skaterverleih.
By metro (U-Bahn)
The Austria Center Vienna (ACV) can be reached by metro U1 to the station "Kaisermühlen/Vienna Int. Centre".< br />
The registration fee to the General Assembly includes a public transportation ticket. The public transportation ticket is valid Monday–Friday, 24–28 April 2023, within Vienna (zone 100 – core zone). Please note that this ticket does not cover the transportation from and to the airport.
